An interactive science park in the city center, with hands-on exhibits, a planetarium, and activities aimed squarely at kids. Entrance is inexpensive (roughly IDR 20,000–25,000 for adults, less for children), with extra small fees for the planetarium or specific workshops.
Kraton (Sultan's Palace)
Surprisingly kid-friendly for a heritage site — morning visits often include gamelan music and traditional dance performances that hold younger attention spans better than a typical museum walkthrough.
Waterboom Jogja
A waterpark in the north of the city with slides for different age groups, a lazy river, and a wave pool — a good full-day option if the kids need to burn energy after a few days of temples.
